How to create a habit

How can you create a habit? How can you incorporate technology into your life? How can you redesign some of your habits in your daily routine, changing the use of the mobile phone as well?

In Argentina, the use of technology such as QR codes wasn’t as widespread two or three years ago. Mercado Pago took the lead in promoting this technology, installing QR codes in shops to allow people to pay using their mobile phones.

As it sometimes happens, this technology became the gateway to others, reaching more people, both buyers and sellers, who adopted this method of payment and expanded their collection resources. It allowed us to relate to money and commerce in a different way, providing a means of keeping safe distance and avoiding touching things during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A few years after its launch, it has become increasingly common and is now used by small shops and large brands, in countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, and others in the region.

Designing user experiences considering different audiences, contexts, socioeconomic levels, cultures, and strata is an interesting challenge, striving to make the use of this form of technology, money, and commerce beneficial for all.
